KMB Design Group is seeking an experienced Senior Wireless Telecom CAD Designer to support our Wireless Telecommunications Division. This role is responsible for producing and reviewing high-quality telecom design deliverables, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to client and municipal standards.
The ideal candidate brings strong AutoCAD expertise, wireless telecom drafting experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities

Produce and review Lease Exhibits, Zoning Drawings, Structural Drawings, Construction Drawings, and Photo Renderings based on site notes gathered by field representatives.

Perform detailed quality control reviews of drawings based on project manager, engineering, and client redlines.

Revise minor to moderate redlines accurately and efficiently.

Ensure drawing packages meet client standards and applicable municipal requirements (NYC DOB familiarity preferred).

Manage deliverable timelines and prioritize assignments to meet project deadlines.

Update and maintain internal project tracking systems.

Assist with CAD template management, standards updates, and equipment specification coordination.

Support plotting, scanning, and reproduction of project documents as needed.

Collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and internal team members to resolve technical issues and maintain workflow efficiency.

Contribute to continuous improvement of design, drafting and QC processes within the division.
Qualifications

5+ years of professional AutoCAD experience required.

Demonstrated experience drafting and reviewing wireless telecommunications projects for major U.S. carriers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Dish, etc.) is required.

Strong working knowledge of carrier-specific standards, lease exhibit requirements, zoning documentation, and construction drawing packages.

Experience reviewing and interpreting project manager, engineering, and client redlines.

Solid understanding of architectural and structural drawings.

Working knowledge of zoning and permitting documentation processes.

Familiarity with NYC DOB requirements strongly preferred.

Willingness to work outside standard business hours when project demands require.
